About the Speakers
Roddy Doyle is from Dublin and the author of 11 acclaimed novels including The Commitments, The Snapper and The Van, two collections of short stories and Rory & Ita, a memoir about his parents. His most recent novel is The Guts (2013). He won the Booker Prize in 1993 for Paddy Clarke Ha Ha Ha.

Alex Clark is a literary critic and writes for the Guardian and Observer.
