Welcome Kate Humble! Much-loved TV presenter of a myriad of nature programmes, including Escape to the Farm and Springwatch, now presents her latest book, Home Made: Recipes from the Countryside, which celebrates the farm-to-table journey and the people who make it possible. This wonderful collection features over 60 simple, sustainable recipes from Kate’s own kitchen table, making delicious, fuss-free meals accessible to everyone.
Along with a wide range of recipes, Kate also offers inspiring stories from 20 individuals who play a role in bringing food to our tables, from basket-weavers and apron-makers to blacksmiths and woodworkers; potters and glassblowers to fishermen and cheese-makers; farmers and chocolatiers to distillers and salters.

Author Biography
Kate Humble is a broadcaster and author of five books, including Thinking On My Feet, A Year of Living Simply, Home Cooked and Where the Hearth Is. A champion of the environment, nature conservation and rural affairs, she is president of the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust and founded Humble by Nature, a rural skills centre on her farm in Wales. She lives with her husband and other assorted animals on a smallholding in the Wye Valley.

Catherine Carr is an award-winning documentary maker, presenter, podcast producer and reporter with over 20 years’ experience in audio. Her work for BBC Radio 4, The World service and her own company – Pocket Productions – has taken her all over the world, talking to strangers in cities from Japan to the Mexican border and reporting on human interest stories, from child-trafficking in India to the refugee camp in Calais. Carr is the producer for Talking Politics podcast and is presenter of BBC Radio 4’s The Exchange. She is the middle child of three, and created a podcast all about siblings – called Relatively – to finally get some attention. She is working on her first book based on her beloved podcast – Relatively, exploring how sibling relationships define us.
