Author Biography
Nadiya Hussain was the winner of 2015’s Great British Bake Off in a finale watched by over 15 million viewers, and she has since become a national treasure. Born in Luton to British Bangladeshi parents, Nadiya now lives in Milton Keynes with her husband, Abdal, and their three teenage children. Nadiya has presented several of her own BBC2 cookery series to great acclaim and was recently awarded an MBE for services to broadcasting and the culinary arts. Her previous cookery titles include Nadiya’s Kitchen, Nadiya’s British Food Adventure, Nadiya’s Family Favourites, Time to Eat, Nadiya Bakes, and Nadiya’s Fast Flavours.
Chair Biography
Alex Clark is a broadcaster and journalist, who writes for the Guardian, the Observer, and the Times Literary Supplement. She is a professional chairperson and has appeared at Cheltenham, Hay and the Southbank Centre, as well as appearing on BBC Radio 4, the Graham Norton Book Club for Audible and the TLS podcast. Alex is a festival honorary patron.
