Much-loved author Jacqueline Wilson is returning to Cambridge this Spring to share her latest book, The Seaside Sleepover. She’ll be chatting all things friendship, bullies, sleepovers and dogs, as well as answering questions from the audience. Whether you’re a lifelong fan or new to her books, this promises to be a summer holiday of an event, full of fun, storytelling and behind-the-scenes insights.

Author Biography

Jacqueline Wilson wrote her first ‘novel’ when she was nine years old, and she has been writing ever since. She is now one of Britain’s bestselling and most beloved children’s authors. She has written over 100 books and is the creator of characters such as Tracy Beaker and Hetty Feather. More than forty million copies of her books have been sold. 

As well as winning many awards for her books, including the Children’s Book of the Year, Jacqueline is a former Children’s Laureate, and in 2008 she was appointed a Dame and in 2024’s New Year’s Honours List she was made Dame Grand Cross of the Order of the British Empire. She holds Honorary Doctorates from the universities of Bath, Dundee, Winchester, Roehampton and Kingston.
