Three boys reading audience

Cambridge Literary Festival is a charity working to advance education by the promotion of literature, language and the arts.

Twice each year we welcome a rich and diverse range of speakers to debate the urgent issues of the day, deliver lectures, present literary greats alongside emerging writers and welcome scientists, artists, politicians, environmentalists, comedians, novelists, historians, journalists and poets.

We are dedicated in our mission to enthuse a new generation of readers. Our FREE Children’s Festival returns every Spring, hosting an array of high-quality, fun, interactive events. We hold a FREE schools day in May for primary and secondary school children and aim to send them all home with a FREE book.

Your contribution can make a difference:

  • £10 can pay for a child to be inspired by their favourite author
  • £25 enables us to donate tickets to community groups
  • £150 helps us welcome new and emerging writers to the Festival stage

Monthly donations – large or small – are particularly welcome as they allow the Festival to plan ahead with confidence.
