Martin Bond – our festival photographer – has lived in Cambridge all his life. In his personal project A Cambridge Diary, he posted a photograph of our city online every day. At number 5,000, he published his final daily picture and has now released three books – Town & GownTime & Space and Light & ShadeJoin Martinwho, for once, will be on the other end of the lens, to share the background of A Cambridge Diary, his photography, and the importance of you, the viewer, in the creative process.

Author Biography

Martin Bond is a professional photographer who has lived in Cambridge all his life. His personal photography project — A Cambridge Diary, saw him post a photograph of his hometown online every day for more than thirteen years. At picture number 5,000, he published his final continuous daily photograph receiving the attention of national and international media including The Guardian, BBC and Smithsonian Magazine. He has published three books – ‘Town & Gown’, ‘Time & Space’ and ‘Light & Shade’ – each with a picture for every day of the year selected from his archive of photographs.
