Harry Baker | Tender: 100 poems for the first 100 days of life
Fri 24 Apr 2026 | 8:00pm - 9:00pm
World Poetry Slam Champion Harry Baker brings his characteristic warmth, wit and wonder to a performance about new parenthood: those dizzying first days when everything is fragile, hilarious, terrifying and utterly miraculous. In Tender, Harry shares poems from the first hundred days of new life, capturing tiny perfect moments: a yawn from a pink mouth, a kind word from a stranger on a hard day, the surprising weight of a sleeping baby against your chest.
From introducing his newborn to a horse, to trying to work out whether the GP really did drop them on purpose to test their reflexes, these poems celebrate the full emotional weather of becoming a parent: euphoria, panic, sleeplessness, vulnerability and joy.
Tender, funny and genuinely moving, this is a show for anyone who has had a baby, been a baby, or ever loved someone so much it made them a little bit scared. Expect more laughter and tears than ever.
