Sophie Raworth | Running on Air: From headlines to finish lines
Spring 2026
Sophie Raworth, one of the BBC’s main newsreaders, started running in her 40s. Since then, she has run all six World Marathon Majors and completed fifteen marathons and three ultra-marathons. Along the way, she has discovered new inner confidence, community and the power of friendship. Revisit this event from our Spring 2026 Festival as Sophie shares how these have helped her through tough challenges, from losing loved ones and overcoming injuries, to interviewing the Prime Minister. Chaired by documentary-maker and author Catherine Carr.
