Lanisha Butterfield book

When Jeremiah plants a packet of sunflower seeds, he never expects them to grow overnight, burst through the ceiling, and transform his entire apartment! But as the vines take root, something even more magical happens—his tower block community comes together, connected by the beauty of nature.

Join Lanisha Butterfield for a joyful and inclusive story-time session as she introduces Flower Block, her debut picture book, inspired by her own childhood. Born and raised on a council estate in Oxford, Lanisha wrote Flower Block to celebrate urban living spaces, challenge stereotypes, and show children that their homes, families, and communities are just as full of magic as any fairytale.

This heart-warming book is a vibrant ode to nature, community, and the power of planting seeds—both in the soil and in our hearts.
